Synopsis:
“Conclusion #17” is a 3D computer animation piece. It is a series of landscapes composed of textures, colors and spatial relationships that are unique to virtual 3D computer animation technology. We travel through them and watch them travel by us, while we move above, below and around. This piece is structured as an abstract sequence spread over time rather than a narrative that is driven by time. Nonetheless, our perspective still traps us in the mono-directional and progressive movement of time, along one contingent path that takes us to conclusion number seventeen.

Synopsis:
“Tao #204” is a 3D computer animation piece derived from the philosophic idea of the Tao and its concept of continual change. It takes up a cyclical view of time, centered on the transformation of objects. Each object exists in its own right, and yet is merely a bridge or window leading to the next object and into the next landscape. No object moves or changes its position, and yet they exist in a constant state of flux. The shifting transformations eventually bring us back to where we began, and yet nothing will be completely the same.

Synopsis:
“Civilization #56” is a 2D/3D computer animation piece. It was made when I felt depressed and isolated. I sensed its emotional significance, tried to use this piece to capture the psychological pain. Is civilization built on the sufferings and sacrifices of all individuals? I hope someday I will be and able to answer this question.
